Neil Johnson won a Judges Award for Best Photo at the Shreveport Bossier Advertising Federation's award ceremony for best advertising work in 2006. The winning photo was one of a series of portraits published in a booklet promoting Red River Radio, the regional public radio network. The portrait series portrayed a variety of RRR listeners listening to their favorite program and were all created in Neil's studio. The booklet was produced by Williams Creative Group, designed by Michael Williams and printed by Graphic Industries. Neil Johnson also won three Gold Addy Awards for 1) the above image, 2) an image promoting McElroy Metal and 3) his Photo of the Month self-promotion series. In addition, he won three Bronze awards. Also, a number of Neil's images were key elements within awarded projects for The Shreveport Convention Center, Christus Schumpert Sutton Children's Hospital, the Shreveport Symphony and River City Reperatory Theater.
